BCAE Events 2024

BCAE EC 2024 is excited to announce that the BCAE Music Festival will be arranged on November 2, 2024, at the Yellow Bird Community League. The event will feature performances by our talented community artists, along with a full program, cultural show, and trade fair.

Program details:

Date: November 02, 2024, Saturday

Trade Show: 10 am to 5 pm

Cultural show: 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm

Food: 8 pm

Band show: 9 pm to 11 pm

The Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Canada-Association of Edmonton (BCAE) in 2024 expresses sincere gratefulness to our members and the community for their joyous participation to the success of the “BCAE Annual Picnic 2024” on August 10, 2024 at the Aspen Beach Provincial Park.

This event was full of several lively outdoor fun going sports activities for everyone who wanted to participate regardless of the age group. We started our day with mouth watering traditional snacks, had a feast with freshly cooked delicious ethnic food and finished our day with light desert.  There were numerous attractive raffles draw from  “Alif Halal Meat & Groceries Ltd.”, and “Md Sohel Howlader”.  Presents for women fun sport activities winner’s from Atit Fashion fulfill the event entirely.    

We are extremely grateful to the donors of this fun going outdoor event whose generous support made it possible for us to organize this daylong outdoor event. The Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Canada Association of Edmonton (BCAE) in 2024 expresses sincere gratitude to our members and the community for their participation and invaluable contributions to the success of the “BCAE Father’s Day celebrations” on June 29, 2024 at the Blue Quill #5 Soccer field.

To celebrate this special occasion, we organized a special Fathers' Day soccer tournament. We are deeply thankful to all players who participated and contributed to the success of this event. Your thrilling performances captivated everyone. There were more than 70 players who played for this soccer tournament. Thank you all for your effort and time.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rana Hossain, Dr. Jesmin Akter, Dr. Fateh Mohammed, Alif Halal Meat and groceries, and the Quran for Everyone (Q4E) Institute for their generous sponsorship of this event. Their support was invaluable in making this large-budget, free event possible and facilitating the arrangement of iftar for more than 500 people. Additionally, BCAE organized a free Henna stall, and we extend our thanks to our volunteers Shanum Islam (Darin), Farah Tanjin and Raisa Rahman for their assistance in arranging this henna stall.

The Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Canada Association of Edmonton (BCAE) in 2024 extends heartfelt gratitude to our members and community for their invaluable contributions to the success of the “International Mother Language Day Celebration - একুশ আমার গর্ব” on February 21, 2024, at the Student Union Building (SUB), University of Alberta.

The main goal of this initiative was to honor the sacrifices of language martyrs and to impart knowledge about the importance of February 21st to future generations. We are pleased to announce that the event effectively achieved its goal, evidenced by one of the largest gatherings in Edmonton at SUB (University of Alberta) to honor this occasion. Witnessing our young champions proudly express our culture in Bengali brought joy to everyone's hearts.
