Bangladesh Consular Service in Edmonton

September 24-25, 2022

Bangladesh Canada Association of Edmonton (BCAE) worked closely with Bangladesh High Commission Ottawa to organize consular services to the Bangladeshi community in Edmonton on September 24 and 25, 2022. This year the service was provided from our very own Bangladesh Center, the physical address of BCAE.

The High Commission provided around 500 consular services, including new MRP passports, renewal/re-issue of passports, no visa required sticker, birth certificate registrations, power of attorney, and attestations during the two-day event. We also have people coming from Calgary, Vancouver to receive these much needed services.

We would like to convey our deepest gratitude to the young, energetic and friendly consular service team led by First Secretary Sharmin Sultana. We are really amazed by their patience and respectful communication to the people. We believe the High Commission will continue to provide such indispensable services to our community members.

Our heartfelt thanks goes to all volunteers who dedicated their valuable time for those two days. Without your support it wasn't possible for the EC to organize such an event. We also thank BCAE members and community members for their patience and cooperation which helped us organize this event successfully.

Channel I, a Prominent Bangladeshi news channel covered the news on this consular service. Special thanks to Shahria Hossain Ria for this excellent newscast:
